Mr Kartika Meher, a young graduate from TISS, Mumbai and social activist went back to his village Raipali in Balangir district of Odisha to start a library for the students to drive a point into the minds of the poor villagers that education is the only way of their emancipation.

It is a very small village of 100 houses of which 20 belong to poor dalits. Ayu. Kartik with the help of villagers and well wishers constructed a pucca room to start Ravidas Pathagar (Library) at Raipali, Odisha which he got inaugurated on 16th February'2022, the day of birth anniversary of the great saint Ravidas. He has requested Human Metta Foundation to donate books having 60 different titles costing about Rs.5344/- for which HMF executive body unanimously agreed. In addition Ayu. Methaji Bhaladhare has donated 110 Books, thus total book's count became 170 nos. All 170 books are despatched through courier on 24/02/2022.
