Ratangarh, a town in Churu District, Rajasthan, with a population of around 100,000, has approximately 14,000 residents from the Scheduled Castes (SC) community, making up about 14% of the total population. Nearly half of this community identifies with the Ambedkarite movement, reflecting a clear and steady shift in public consciousness toward Ambedkarite ideology and Buddhism. Inspired by this transformation, some members have begun Vihara and meditation practices within the Ambedkar Bhavan, and expressed a desire to install a brass statue of Buddha at the site. They took the initiative to raise funds on their own and sought partial support from HMF. Total cost of the Buddha statue was Rs. 95000/-

Recognizing the significance of the effort, HMF deemed it a noble cause and appealed to its members for special contributions. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Total Rs. 44,000 was collected within just four days. A 4.5-foot-tall brass Buddha statue, weighing 90 kg was chosen and dispatched to Ratangarh on April 22, 2025. It will be installed at the Mukesh Library, Ambedkar Bhavan, to mark the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima

A cheque of Rs. 44000/- was handed over on 22.04.2025 by HMF representatives.
